100g pork mince
200g snake beans (or french beans), cut into 1-inch batons)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small shallot, chopped
For the sauce:
1.5 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp light soy sauce
pinch of sugar and ground white pepper
a dash of cooking wine (optional)
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp cornstarch or tapioca starch to thicken gravy
sesame oil (optional)
Heat pan or wok with oil on medium-high heat.
Add in the chopped garlic and shallot.
Add in the mince and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Add the beans, soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, sugar and cooking wine (if using).
Mix well and add the water.
Cover the pan and let cook for a few minutes.
Slowly add cornstarch or tapioca flour to thicken the gravy.
Add a dash of sesame oil (optional).
Serve with freshly cooked rice.
